1KM is a technology platform that connects users seeking transportation and logistics services ("Customers") with independent transportation providers ("Providers"). We do not provide transportation services directly — we facilitate connections between Customers and Providers.

Our services include:

  • Personal rides (autos, cabs, and other vehicles)
  • Goods transportation and delivery
  • Business logistics solutions
  • Voice-based booking through AI

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update this information to keep it accurate.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or pose safety risks.

4. For Customers

4.1 Booking Services

When you book a ride or delivery, you enter into an agreement with the Provider, not with 1KM. We facilitate this connection but are not party to the transportation contract.

4.2 Payment

You agree to pay the fare displayed at the time of booking, plus any applicable taxes or fees. Payment can be made via cash or digital methods as available. Prices are determined by zone-specific rates and may vary by vehicle type, distance, and conditions.

4.3 Cancellation

Cancellation policies may apply. Repeated cancellations may result in restrictions on your account.

4.4 Conduct

You agree to treat Providers with respect, not to damage vehicles, and to comply with all applicable laws during your ride or delivery.

5. For Providers

5.1 Independent Contractor Status

Providers are independent contractors, not employees of 1KM. You control when, where, and how you provide services. This relationship does not create an employment, agency, or partnership arrangement.

5.2 Requirements

Providers must:

  • Hold valid licenses and permits for their vehicle type
  • Maintain required insurance coverage
  • Keep vehicles in safe, roadworthy condition
  • Pass background verification
  • Comply with all applicable traffic laws

5.3 Earnings and Payouts

Providers keep the majority of each fare, minus the platform commission. Payouts are processed promptly — instant withdrawals are available for a small fee, or free daily auto-transfers.

5.4 Service Standards

Providers agree to provide safe, professional service, arrive on time, and treat customers with respect. Consistent poor ratings or complaints may result in account review or termination.

6. Platform Rules

All users agree not to:

  • Use the platform for illegal purposes
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against others
  • Provide false information
  • Manipulate ratings or reviews
  • Circumvent the platform for direct bookings
  • Interfere with the platform's operation
  • Use automated systems to access the platform

7. Safety

While we implement safety measures including provider verification and rating systems, we cannot guarantee the safety of any ride or delivery. Users should exercise reasonable caution.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, 1KM shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform or services.

1KM is not liable for:

  • Actions or omissions of Providers or Customers
  • Quality of transportation services
  • Damage to goods during transport
  • Delays or service interruptions

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold 1KM harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the platform, violation of these terms, or infringement of any rights of third parties.

10. Intellectual Property

The 1KM name, logo, and all related content are owned by 1KM and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use our branding without written permission.

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms or use of the platform will be resolved through arbitration in accordance with Indian law. The arbitration shall be conducted in [City], India.
